Unless there is a duplicate, this church was just down the road from where I grew up, in western AR. The small town of "Little Hope" a little outside Mena and Ink. I always thought it funny, especially growing up quite Arminian and not at all fond of Baptist theology. Hey, we found humor in odd things in rural AR.
In British Columbia, we have the town named Hope. So if you are leaving the Lower Mainland for the interior B.C., you are "beyond Hope".

ReplyDeleteThere is a duplicate. There is a sign like this on Highway 64, just east of Canton, TX. I've passed it a thousand times.

ReplyDeleteJohn, if it is a duplicate, would one be safe in saying that Baptists are beginning to develop a pattern of little hope?
