  1. Good Lord, we're not the only ones. We spent our post-partum days (my wife and I) with the Oxford Very Short Intros to Kant, Hegel, and Heidegger - a German triad and an awkward introduction to the world for our little girl.

The series is kind of addicting.

  2. Agreed. This is my third of a dozen or so I hope to get through before the end of August.

  3. Peter Singer, atrocious views on infanticide and all aside, actually did a rather fantastic job on Hegel.

  4. Gosh. All I read post-partum was The Velveteen Rabbit. (Dangerous reading post-partum. You cry a lot.)

    Adorable kids, BTW.

  5. Typical commie, you get a woman to do the childcare while you put your feet up and read. - mercyorbemoaned

  8. I love the VSI's! Those and Coplestone's History are things I would save from a burning building after the people were out. Given that I'm a heavy sleeper, I'm sure I'd be the last one out anyhow.
